Reviews
Delicious food coupled with a lovely atmosphere and stunning views of Nice and the sea.
We tried half of their menu and everything was delicious.
There’s live music, we were seated right in front of the performer and I was worried it was going to be too loud but not at all. It was soft enough to chat and hear the entire table but loud enough to sing along to the tunes.
All in all, we had a really lovely evening & we’ll be sure to come back!
Nice view (see what I did there) overlooking the water. Serenaded by melodic live acoustics of guitar and the sultry singers voice as she displayed her range and array of American and French music. The ceviche was very fresh, light a touch of sea salt and olive oil takes this over the top. The zucchini was puffed and fried lightly golden to compliment and do recommend. Waited for the shareable duck (honestly think they forgot). It was prepared as it should medium rare- medium not sliced with a bit of fat marbleizing the meat. The drunken brownie had a bit of vanilla rum drizzled on it and was a good touch against the nutty sweetness.
Our selection of tapas included arancini filled with tomato and mozzarella (reminiscent of a Suppli), ham and cheese croquetas, and a remarkable truffle ham and cheese toasted sandwich. Each bite was a testament to the simple yet robust flavors that we associate with good food.
While the drinks menu was extensive, their signature sangria was somewhat a letdown, feeling more akin to fruit juice than the typical wine-infused punch. To navigate around the service issue we faced (which seemed to be isolated to our section), we chose a bottle of wine to savor over time.
Despite the slow service, Farrago on the Roof had us enchanted for hours. We reveled in the beauty of Nice while sipping wine, making it an experience that, albeit with a minor hiccup, was truly enjoyable.
Beautiful place, nice view. Live music was a great touch. On the other hand, the service was really slow, we had to call the waitress by ourselfs to get us new drinks or order a food. We had octopus, which was tasty, and also duck, but the duck was cold (25€)… I would recommend this place for a nice drink, but overall experience 3* max.
We went last night for a girls night out. It’s stunning view, live music, attentive staff and delicious food all made for a perfect evening.
We had the most incredible meal here! Be sure to book in advance and you won't be disappointed. The food, the drinks and the setting are all fantastic. We booked for 9PM and between 2 we shared 5 dishes, 2 cocktails each and the large white sangria. The bill was €169 and worth every cent for the experience!
Made a booking but when we arrived the staff seemed to be confused as to where we were to be seated. We waited around and 3 other groups of people lined up after us, all of which were ignored by the 2 staff members at the top of the stairs. We eventually were seated at the end of a bench seat and were informed that there would be another group at the end of the table. We thought this was odd as we booked in advance for only 2 people so we’re expecting an intimate seating arrangement, not to be added onto the end of another group. It then took us at least half an hour to be acknowledged by our waiter. The waiter came and served the group of girls at the end of our table before serving us. Our drinks and entree arrived half hour after ordering, and we never received water that we ordered. After finishing up, we tried to flag down our waiter but was unsuccessful, and after waiting an appropriate amount of time we went to the front to pay our bill. The 2 girls at the desk asked where we were seated and proceeded to laugh at us and tell that we needed to go back down and inform our waiter. We attempted to talk to our waiter but he was on his phone behind the bar so we were left to awkwardly stand around the tables whilst people were eating their meals. We were approached by a different lovely wait staff who assisted us paying our bill, although we were charged for our bottle of water that we never received, this was amended by the nice gentlemen. The 2 stars we are giving this restaurant is due to him. The rest of the place appeared unorganised and unprofessional.
I don't recommend it. We waited for food for 2 hours. We haven't eaten yet. Every drink was waited for an hour. The last glass of wine never came
